Kintsugi Inspired Pendants - Encouragement Gift - Kintsugi Bar Necklace, Rectangle, White, Silver
Kintsugi is the ancient art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver. The cracks are viewed as part of the history of the object and not something to hide. The pottery is valued more repaired than in its original state.
I love the symbolism of the art, which inspired this collection. The pendant is handcrafted using a clay inlaid in a rectangle setting. I hand create "cracks" using liquid silver leaf and seal with a layer of resin. I aim to make each pendant unique, making the necklace one of a kind. Please see all listing pictures for samplings of variety of designs. All the necklace components are .999 fine silver plated. All components are lead and nickel free. The pendant measures 1 1/8" in length and 1/4" in width. The pendant is attached to an 18" .999 fine silver chain with sturdy lobster clasp.
The necklace arrives displayed on a display card describing the art of Kintsugi with a word of encouragement. Arrives beautifully packaged ready for gift giving, even if it is a gift for yourself!
