Kintsugi Inspired Earrings - Petite Round Setting, Black and Gold - Encouragement Gift

  • $16.00

Kintsugi is the ancient art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver. The cracks are viewed as part of the history of the object and not something to hide. The pottery is valued more repaired than in its original state.

I love the symbolism of the art, which inspired this new collection. The earrings are handcrafted using a clay inlaid in a round setting. I hand create "cracks" using liquid gold leaf and seal with a layer of resin. I aim to make each earring unique, making the earrings one of a kind. Please see all listing pictures for samplings of variety of designs. The earrings' metal base is pewter, which is then plated with 24K gold. The post and push back closure are stainless steel. All components are lead and nickel free. The earrings measure 5/16" in circumference.

The earrings are displayed on a card describing the art of Kintsugi with a word of encouragement. Arrives beautifully packaged ready for gift giving, even if it is a gift for yourself! Earrings are not intended to be immersed in water. Please review jewelry care instructions outlined in my policies.
